Eradicate Cancer Foundation (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting personal information in accordance with applicable laws, including British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act and other applicable Canadian privacy requirements.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect personal information through our website at www.eradicatecancer.ca (the “Site”).

Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through the Site, including through our online grant application form and through certain technical means such as analytics tools.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, platforms, or services that may be linked from the Site, including any third-party donation platform or the Aqueduct Foundation donation process. Those third parties have their own privacy practices and policies.

What Information We Collect

Information submitted through the grant application form

We may collect personal information that applicants choose to provide through the grant application form, which may include:

  • name
  • email address
  • phone number
  • mailing address
  • organization name
  • role or title
  • project, funding, or program details
  • supporting information and documents
  • any other information voluntarily included in the application

If an applicant provides personal information about another person, the applicant represents that they have the authority and consent to provide that information to us.

Technical and usage information

When users visit the Site, we may automatically collect certain technical information, such as:

  • IP address

  • device information
  • pages viewed
  • date and time of visit
  • referring website
  • general usage and navigation data

This information may be collected through cookies, analytics tools, and similar technologies, including Google Analytics 4.

  • communicate with applicants about their submissions
  • verify eligibility and assess applications

We do not currently offer user accounts on the Site.

Donations

At this time, donations promoted through the Site are handled through or in coordination with the Aqueduct Foundation and/or its third-party donation tools, not through direct payment processing on this Site.

If a user clicks through to donate, the collection, use, and processing of donor and payment information will be governed by the applicable third-party terms and privacy policies, including those of the Aqueduct Foundation and any donation processor used in that flow.

Legal Basis / Consent

By submitting personal information to us through the Site, a user consents to our collection, use, and disclosure of that information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and any related notice presented at the point of collection.

Where required or appropriate, we may request more specific or express consent.

A person may withdraw consent to certain uses of their personal information, subject to legal or operational restrictions. Withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to review or administer an application already submitted.

The Site may be accessible to minors. However, grant applications should only be submitted by individuals who are legally able to do so on their own behalf, or by a parent, legal guardian, or other authorized adult representative where appropriate.

If we learn that personal information was submitted by a minor without appropriate authorization where authorization was required, we may delete that information or request additional confirmation before proceeding.

Disclosure of Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to:

  • employees, contractors, and service providers who need it to perform their duties
  • advisors, reviewers, assessors, or committee members involved in grant review or administration
  • technology providers that support the Site or data storage

We do not sell personal information.

Analytics, Cookies, and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, understand traffic patterns, and improve performance. We currently use Google Analytics 4 for analytics and measurement.
