These Grant Application Terms apply to any person or organization that accesses, completes, or submits a grant application through www.eradicatecancer.ca (the “Site”).
By starting or submitting a grant application, you agree to these Grant Application Terms.
The grant application form is provided to allow eligible applicants to request consideration for funding or support under the applicable program described on the Site.
Submission of an application does not guarantee:
Applicants are responsible for reviewing and complying with all eligibility criteria, deadlines, instructions, and program requirements stated on the Site or otherwise communicated by us.
We may reject or decline to consider any application that is incomplete, inaccurate, late, ineligible, duplicative, non-responsive, or inconsistent with the stated program requirements.
By submitting an application, you represent and warrant that:
If an applicant is under the age of majority or otherwise requires a parent, guardian, or authorized representative to act on their behalf, the application must be submitted by or with the authorization of that responsible adult or representative.
We may request proof of authority, age, guardianship, or representation where reasonably necessary.
Applications may contain personal information and, depending on the program, may include sensitive information. By submitting an application, you consent to our collection, use, storage, and disclosure of that information for grant administration, evaluation, due diligence, recordkeeping, legal compliance, and related operational purposes, in accordance with our Privacy Policy and any more specific notice presented with the application.
Applicants should provide only information reasonably necessary for the application and should avoid including unnecessary confidential or highly sensitive third-party information unless requested and authorized.
We may review applications internally and may share applications or portions of them with:
All review decisions are made in our discretion, subject to the applicable program rules.
We are under no obligation to approve any application, provide reasons for a decision, reconsider a decision, or award any funding.
Funding decisions, if any, may depend on eligibility, merit, available resources, due diligence, alignment with program priorities, legal requirements, and other factors determined in our discretion.
We may request additional information, clarification, interviews, references, verification materials, or supporting documents at any stage of the review process. Failure to provide requested information in the required timeframe may result in rejection or closure of the application.
Applicants are responsible for submitting materials before any stated deadline.
We are not responsible for:
We recommend retaining copies of all submitted materials.
Applicants retain ownership of their original application materials except to the extent rights belong to another party.
By submitting materials, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, store, review, and share the materials as reasonably necessary to administer, assess, audit, and document the application and any resulting grant relationship.
While we will handle submissions in accordance with our privacy and operational practices, submission of an application does not by itself create a fiduciary, agency, partnership, joint venture, employment, or other special legal relationship.
Unless specifically agreed in writing, do not submit proprietary or confidential information that you do not wish to be reviewed, stored, or shared for application evaluation purposes.
You may request withdrawal of an application before a final decision is made, subject to any legal, audit, reporting, or record-retention requirements.
We may close, suspend, or terminate an application process or program at any time, including after submission, without liability, to the extent permitted by law.
If an application is approved, the applicant may be required to enter into a separate grant agreement, release, reporting arrangement, or funding letter. Any award will remain conditional until all required documents are completed and accepted.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss, cost, damage, lost opportunity, or consequential harm arising from or related to an application, non-selection, delay, system failure, program change, or cancellation of a funding opportunity.
These Grant Application Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
