These Donation Terms govern donations made through links, pages, buttons, or calls to action presented on www.eradicatecancer.ca (the “Site”).
Donations associated with the Site are currently managed through or in coordination with the Aqueduct Foundation and may be processed through one or more third-party donation or payment platforms.
As a result:
We encourage donors to review the applicable donation platform terms and privacy policy before completing a donation.
The Site may offer or promote both one-time and recurring donations.
If you elect to make a recurring donation, you authorize the applicable donation processor to charge your selected payment method in accordance with the recurrence schedule you choose, until cancelled or otherwise ended in accordance with the processor’s rules or the applicable donation setup.
Where applicable, official donation receipts will be issued in accordance with the requirements of applicable Canadian law and the policies and procedures of the entity issuing the receipt.
If donation receipts are issued through the Aqueduct Foundation or another qualified donee, the receipt will typically be issued by the entity legally receiving the gift and authorized to issue the receipt.
Questions about tax receipts should be directed to:
Eradicate.Cancer.ca.Foundation@gmail.com
Donors are responsible for ensuring that the information they provide is accurate and complete, including contact details and payment information.
We are not responsible for failed transactions caused by inaccurate information, expired cards, bank issues, processor errors outside our control, or third-party platform outages.
Unless otherwise required by law or expressly stated by the applicable donation platform, donations are generally intended to be final and non-refundable.
Refund requests, if any, will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may need to be directed to the Aqueduct Foundation or the applicable donation processor, depending on how the donation was processed.
If recurring donations are available, donors may be able to cancel or update them through the applicable donation platform or by contacting the appropriate donation administrator identified at the time of donation.
Cancellation requests may not affect charges already processed before the request is received and implemented.
Donations will be used in support of the charitable mission, programs, or operations described by the organization and/or the applicable fundraising initiative, subject to applicable law, operational requirements, and the organization’s discretion to direct funds where most needed unless a specific restriction is expressly accepted in writing.
Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, a donation is made voluntarily and not in exchange for goods, services, or other consideration.
We reserve the right to decline, reverse, or investigate a donation where reasonably necessary to address suspected fraud, legal compliance issues, platform misuse, or processing error.
Information submitted in connection with donations is subject to applicable third-party privacy practices and, where relevant, our Site Privacy Policy.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses or damages arising from third-party donation platforms, payment processors, banking failures, service outages, or delays outside our reasonable control.
We may update these Donation Terms from time to time by posting revised terms on the Site.
Donation-related questions may be directed to Eradicate.Cancer.ca.Foundation@gmail.com.
